Viivi 00.08 release notes

Version 00.08.00 has been improved at the following points compared to the previous version 00.07.00.

• The default mode for the debug tracing system, given with the command line option "-g", was changed from that equivalent to "-d 3" into that to "-d 7". The newly introduced bit flag 4 will visualize side effects of some procedures: a new creation of binding, a modification of binding, and a modification of the complex data structure (such as a pair, a vector, or a character string), using the marks and the arrows, "○" and "→ ", "●" and "→ ", and "■" and "⇒ ", respectively.

  	■ (10 20) ⇒  (5 20)		The list (10 20) was modified to (5 20).

• The error handling system has been thoroughly rewritten. This will enable the user to determine the cause of the error and to detect its occurring location more easily. As the modification is currently still on the way, however, the error info may be insufficient for some cases (e.g., no info is shown for errors during parsing). The next few versions will make the system stable.


• Small bug-fixes.
