Viivi 00.01 is released! (2010/11/23)

Thank you very much for trying Viivi.
I am glad to announce that a new periodic update, version 00.01, of Viivi is now available on this site.
You can download it from "Download Viivi" on the page Viivi's Cell.

The new version expires on 2010/12/31.
Currently minor revisions (accompanying changes in the third field ZZ of the version number "XX.YY.ZZ") for small bug fixes are performed every few days without announcement. So the periodic updates (accompanying changes in the second field YY of the version number "XX.YY.ZZ") will be released monthly, until such frequent minor revisions become unnecessary. The next periodic update will be therefore released before 2010/12/31.

Usual programs that Scheme beginners (like me) may write, including all the sample codes in R5RS, run on Viivi since the first release version. But the current version may still show wrong behaviors for tricky programs that high-level Schemers may write, or for wrong programs of unexpected errors on the other extreme. The bugs seem to originate in my misunderstandings about R5RS and in the end data structures that were implemented in old days. Viivi is now tested and improved using a test suite for R5RS compatibility that was found recently.
