About a problem in treating the Windows path-separator (2012/03/04)

The versions 00.14.01 and older of Viivi cannot treat correctly the Windows path-separator of the back-slash character '\' at a few minor situations.
It leads to problems in

• the command line argument option -sysprops
• the procedure invocation (system-properties)
• the procedure invocation (viivi-property 'system-properties)

As Viivi has been developed mainly on Unix-like platforms, detecting and fixing the problems on Windows platforms tend to be late and slow. It may irritate the windows users, perhaps of the most part (I guess three people or less lol) of the whole testers for Viivi. Until the problem will be fixed in the next versions, please avoid the problems by NOT-using the above functions.

You can try Viivi without those problems on Linux/Solaris platforms installed on top of the virtual PC environment, such as VirtualBox.
