Some unreadable fonts in the English manual (2011/02/03)

Viivi English user's manual (version 00.02._c or older) appeared to have some unreadable fonts on English PDF/PostScript viewers. This problem originates in that Japanese fonts were used in the English manual.

The unreadable fonts were used for

• the quotation marks enclosing the character string "Example"
• debug trace lines

I am disappointed that you cannot check the debug trace lines on the user's manual. The wrong fonts will be replaced with valid fonts in the future. Although it is not ensured if you can see Japanese PDF/PostScript files using English viewer, could you try to see the corresponding parts on the Japanese manual? (But I guess it's impossible...)

Of course, the debug trace system itself has been ensured to work correctly in English/German mode as well as in Japanese mode. Please try to run Viivi with the debug option "-g"!
